PEG-100 Stearate, a carefully synthesised emulsifier made from polyoxyethylene stearate and glycerol monostearate, is designed to improve the surface tension of the components of an emulsion to promote the formation of a homogeneous and stable dispersion or emulsion. Its unique combination of hydrophilic and lipophilic properties allows for effective aggregation at the oil/water interface, lowering interfacial tension and reducing the energy required for emulsion formation, thereby improving emulsion stability.

1.Excellent emulsification properties

Broad-spectrum compatibility: can emulsify both water phase and oil phase components, suitable for a variety of fats and oils (such as mineral oil, vegetable oil, silicone oil, etc.) to form a stable O/W (oil in water) emulsion.
High stability: stable in a wide pH range (3-10) and moderate temperature, not easy to precipitate or delamination, suitable for complex formulations.

2.Mildness and low irritation
Non-ionic properties: not charged, not easy to bind with proteins in skin or hair, reducing the risk of allergy, suitable for sensitive skin and baby products.
Good compatibility with skin: Compared with sulphate emulsifiers (e.g. SLS), it is less irritating and commonly used in mild cleansing and make-up removing products.

3.Multifunctionality
Thickening aid: It can work synergistically with other thickeners (e.g. carbomer, xanthan gum) to enhance product viscosity and improve texture.
Emollient effect: Stearate structure has certain lubricating and moisturising properties, which can reduce the addition of extra oil in the formulation.
Solubilising effect: It helps difficult-to-solve ingredients (e.g. flavours, essential oils) to disperse evenly, enhancing the product appearance and sensory experience.
